GrACE – Green Europe: Active Citizenship and the Environment and the University of Trento kindly invite you to join us for a free webinar titled: “Voting Matters: Igniting Change in the EU Elections”, scheduled for Tuesday, 23 April, 5.00 – 6.30 PM (CET).

This webinar aims to highlight the importance of the young generation’s vote and to

suggest useful teaching methods and resources to effectively communicate this awareness to high school students.

GUEST SPEAKERS

Luisa Antoniolli has been Full Professor in Comparative Private Law at the Faculty of Law and the School of International Studies of the University of Trento since 2005.

She will discuss the importance of voting in the upcoming European Parliament elections in the light of the new geopolitical context and the pressing challenges facing the EU, including those resonating with the younger generations.

Luisa Broli is a secondary school teacher of law and international relations as well as a teacher trainer specialised in active citizenship education, with particular expertise in debate methodology.

She will look at how EU social media channels and digital platforms can be used in the classroom to stimulate the interest of first-voters.

The webinar is offered as a special event, in anticipation of the launch of a series of training activities designed to enhance the pedagogical competences of secondary school teachers in the field of environmental education for sustainable development.
